My buddy bought a brand new Chevy crewcab about 2 months ago. He was so proud of it that he just couldn’t wait to show it off to everyone.
He first drove it over to me and picked me up because he was "taking us all out to eat" to celebrate. He’s really a nice dude (but what was he thinking buying a Chevy? I still don’t know). On the way over to pick up the third person, the truck started violently shaking while going down the road. I asked him what was going on and he said "oh, it’s something with the steering - my dealer tells me that I’m going to have to keep bringing it in occasionally because the vehicle is ’settling in’ to ’life on the road.’ I think I’ll have to take it to him tomorrow because it’s started doing this again."
When we were eating lunch, he showed us some pictures that he had someone else take while he was standing in front of his truck. Everyone was stoic and seemed to be interested in looking at the pictures (although all of us are Ford and Dodge pickup owners). He gets to the last picture and hands it to me. I kind of laugh and hand it to my other bud. He starts laughing and hands it to the third guy, who started laughing also.
By now he was noticing that everyone was laughing, so he asked what was the probem. Rob said "So, I’ve just got a question....the tow truck that’s parked behind your truck - did that come with the truck too? Because it could probably help this ’settling issue’ that your truck is having."
We laughed for days.
